
Battle Creek Knights Prepare For Eventful Week

Battle Creek, Michigan- The Battle Creek Knights professional basketball team is at home for one game, Friday, June 15th vs. arch rival, the Holland Blast, tip off time 7:15 p.m. at Kellogg Arena. This game is a rematch of the triple overtime contest here @ Kellogg Arena from Thursday, April 5th, 2007, in which the Knights defeated the Blast 162-159. The Holland Blast are lead in scoring by Dennis Springs with a 23.9 points per game scoring average. The Knights current scoring leader is Nick Zachary with a 27.8 points per game scoring average. "This Friday's, June 15th, contest between the Blast and the Knights is one athletic event. Sports fans in the Cereal City need to make sure they attend because of the history between these two teams," stated David Darkey, Battle Creek Knights general manager.
The Knights will be on the road for an 8:15 p.m. eastern time, Saturday, June 16th, contest vs. Midwest Division leader, 12-5, Elgin Racers. This will be the Knights second trip to Elgin, Illinois, to play the Racers during the 2007 IBL regular season. Back on Friday, April 6th, the Knights were successful over the Racers by the score of 108-100 on the road. The Racers are lead in scoring by Sherrick Simpson with a 24.2 points per game scoring average.
The Knights will wind up this two game road trip by playing East Division leader, 16-2, Elkhart Express at the North gym, in Elkhart, Indiana. The Sunday, June 17th, match up between the Express-Knights is scheduled for a 5 p.m. tip off time. The Express are led in scoring by Cedric Moodie with a 23 points per game scoring average.
Illegal Motion dance team is hosting a dance clinic, age 5-17, on Monday, June 18th and Wednesday, June 20th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the St. Phil High School Gym. Participants will have an opportunity to perform at the Thursday, June 21st, Battle Creek Knights basketball game at Kellogg Arena. Cost is $25 per participant.
