Explosion Gets Three Players Named to the IBL All-Star Game

Portland, OR-The International Basketball League has named three members of the expansion Everett Explosion to the league's 2007 All-Star team. Rashaad Powell, Donald Watts, and Justin Murray will represent Everett when the West All-Stars take the court at 2:00pm on Sunday July 1 at Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon.

Powell, 6'6", was selected as an IBL All-Star last season as a member of the Seattle Mountaineers. Powell scored a game high 31 points in the 2006 IBL All-Star Game en route to MVP honors. Powell is the Explosion's leading scorer this season, averaging 29.2 points per contest.

Watts, 6'4", is also earned All-Star honors a season ago as Powell's teammate on the Mountaineers. Watts scored 19 points in the West's 179-141 rout of the East in the 2006 IBL All-Star Game. Watts is averaging 20.6 points per game this year.

Murray, 6'6", is one of the league's most versatile players, with the strength to bang inside and the ball handling skills and court vision to run the offense. Murray is the Explosion's leading rebounder at 7.7 rebounds per game to go along with 14.6 points per contest. The Explosion are back in action on Monday, June 18, when the Chicago Heights Soldiers visit the Everett Events Center.
