Snohomish County Explosion News Release
Jason Hicks (right), 5' 10", of Cleveland, played for Romania before arriving in Monroe last year to play point guard. "He's a fast guard, he runs the court very well," said Weakley. "We're planning on him being a prospect for the NBA." Hicks, a gregarious player, said he thinks he has a good shot at it. "I have the ability to make it to the next level," he said. "I hope something will work out."
Last season Hicks played in all 20 regular season games for the Explosion and shot 36% from three point range. Hicks also averaged 6.1 assists per game while scoring 14.2 points while being able to record a triple double for the team. Hicks has been working out in the off season with the Explosion coaching staff and has bulked up in the upper body and has a much improved mid range jumper.
