Battery to face Richmond Saturday

The Battery enters Saturday's game versus the Richmond Kickers on the back of a 2-1 loss to playoff rival Atlanta last Friday night.

Charleston conceded twice in the first half then rallied through a Jason Kutney goal.

Battery midfielder Ugo Okoye is unavailable for selection this weekend as he serves a suspension for points accumulation.

This is the fourth and final match between Charleston and Richmond this season. The Battery leads the series with two wins and one loss. After losing at Richmond on May 30 (0-2), Charleston won 2-1 (Vasquez, Alavanja) at Blackbaud on June 17 then defeated the Kickers 1-0 (Luzak, own goal)at Richmond on July 17.

Family Night:

Saturday night is the Battery's final Family Night of the 2005 season. Families can get 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 sodas all for only $28 - a $20 saving. Also there is free parking for the first 300 families at the stadium courtesy of Buck Rogers Agent Owned Realty.

Media Buffet: Once again working media are welcome to eat in the Three Lions Club before home matches. Saturday's menu: Grilled center cut pork chops with sweet onion gravy, Potatoes Au Gratin, Green Bean Casserole, Fresh Cornbread with Sweet Honey Butter. Baby Spinach, Chopped Egg and Cremini mushroom salad with bacon vinaigrette, Spiced gingerbread and whipped crème.
