Battalion goaltender enters OHL playoffs with NHL contract

Battalion goaltender Daren Machesney starts the OHL Eastern Conference Quarterfinal Series Friday against the Belleville Bulls after signing a three-year entry level contract with the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League.
The Troops open their best-of-seven series at the Bunker on Friday at 7:30, with game two at Brampton on Sunday at 2:00.
