
Bats Blast Barons in Win

The Lookouts raised the bar by blasting out a season high 16 hits to set the Barons on their heels in the 14-4 win last night. Chris Paul, Andy Wilkins and Sean Miller had three hits each with Paul driving in four runs and Wilkins six. Wilkins clobbered two home runs with new comer Jimmy Kerrigan adding one of his own. Lewis Thorpe would work six shutout innings before yielding a run and a string of nine strikeouts for his best effort of the year and the win. It was a banner night for the Nooga Nine for their 35th win of the year. Thursday night Omar Bencomo takes the hill agains the Barons Dane Duning for game two. The looks remain one and a half games back of the Jackson Generals for the first half division title. Air time on REAL 96.1 is set for 7:50 EDT and at MiLB.com.
