Basso Promoted, González and Draftee Halter Arrive

Lansing Lugnuts News Release


The Lansing Lugnuts announced the following roster changes, in conjunction with the Oakland Athletics:

- Pitcher Brady Basso promoted to Midland (Class AA - Texas League)

- Pitcher Hunter Breault removed from roster, beginning a rehab stint with the Arizona Complex League Athletics

- Pitcher James González received from Stockton (Class A - California League)

- Catcher Hansen López activated from the Injured List and transferred to the Arizona Complex League Athletics

- Infielder Colby Halter received from the Arizona Complex League Athletics

Note: Hitting coach Ron Witmeyer switches his number to 38, clearing the way for Halter to wear no. 10.

Colby Halter, 21, was drafted in the 17th round in July from the University of Florida; he joins shortstop Jacob Wilson (first round) as 2023 draftees on the Lansing roster. Halter went 15-for-33 in the Arizona Complex League, slashing .455/.539/.576 with four doubles, six RBIs, five walks and two steals, and reaching base 21 times in 11 games.
