2010 marks the 76th year of the National Baseball Congress World Series dating back to 1935 when Raymond "Hap" Dumont, then a Wichita sporting goods salesman, offered Satchel Paige $1,000 to bring his team to Wichita and compete in the first ever NBC World Series. The BaseballSavings.com(tm) 76th Annual NBC World Series begins Friday, July 30th and will crown a champion on Friday, August 13th at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
