"We've put together the ultimate Legends Series featuring some of the best players to ever play this great game. We're very excited for our fans to have this opportunity to meet these fantastic players and have the chance to reminisce with them. KBZY is the perfect partner for this Legends Series, noted Walker, their listeners remember all the Greats when they were playing in their prime." Earlier this year the Volcanoes and KBZY Radio announced that all Volcanoes' games, home and away, would be broadcast live on KBZY 1490AM.
The team has announced an Opening Weekend 3-Game Package that will provide fans the chance to meet Jamie Moyer. The package includes Opening Night (June 15th), Jamie Moyer Night (June 16th) and the Father's Day game (June 17th). "We felt this would make a great Father's Day Gift - packaging our first weekend games together. Opening Night will include a spectacular post-game firework show, Jamie Moyer on Saturday, and Father's Day on Sunday - what a great way to start the season and a neat gift for Dad," said Volcanoes Director of Ticketing Liam McClary.
In addition, the team has announced a Legends Package - providing fans an opportunity to attend each of the Legends games.
The Volcanoes won Minor League Baseball's Promotion of the Year Award in 2017 with their nationally recognized Eclipse Game. The first ever delay of a professional sporting event due to a solar eclipse. "The Legends Series may set the stage for back-to-back Awards," added McClary.
