
Barracudas start stretch in Mexico

HIDALGO, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Barracudas will begin a stretch that will feature three games in five days for a second time this season as they will face the Sonora Soles on the road on Wednesday night with the kickoff set for 9:35 PM PST.
It will be the last time this season that the Barracudas and Soles faceoff in divisional play as Sonora holds a 2-1 series advantage with the Soles winning their last encounter in Hidalgo by final of 12-7.
The stretch will end with a pair of weekend games as they host Tacoma Stars on Saturday night and Turlock Express on Sunday afternoon.
The Barracudas boast five players in double digits in overall points this season with midfielder Antonio Manfut leading them with 15 points on nine goal and six assists.
Sonora Soles will boast the second best offense in the league and the current league leader in points in Franck Tayou with 44 points overall and a four game winning streak which saw them defeat Milwaukee Wave who were undefeated.
The next Barracudas home game is on Saturday; January 20th when they host the Pacific division foe Tacoma Stars with the kickoff set for 7:05 PM CST.
