
Barracudas lose at Turlock

Turlock, California - The RGV Barracudas start the last road trip on a dour note as they fall to the Turlock Express by a final of 9-6 at the Turlock Indoor Soccer on Friday night. Antonio Manfut had a hat-trick in the losing effort.
During the first quarter, Turlock used a three-goal quarter as Matthew Germain, Adrian Plascensia and Jorge Carmona all found the back of the net to jump to 3-0 lead.
In the second quarter, the Barracudas got on the board when Luiz Mota scored an unassisted even strength goal to make it 3-1 contest. Carmona and Manny Villegas padded the Express lead to 5-1. Antonio Manfut scored a goal off a Fidel Garcia pass to make it 5-2 game. Turlock continued adding goals by Germain and Ivan Campos that pushed its lead to 7-2. RGV continued to show some spirit as Fernando Moreno and Moises Gonzalez added their names to the score sheet to make it a 7-4 game. Martyn Arista added the eighth goal for Turlock to make it 8-4 score.
After the intermission, the Rampage and Barracudas traded goals which made the score 9-5 as Manfut scored his second goal of the game, while for Turlock it was Adrian Pulido scored..
In the last quarter, Manfut added his third goal of the game that made it a 9-6 final score.
RGV goalie Fidel Garcia took the loss on six saves plus an assist and his record is now at 2-10.
