Birmingham Barons News Release
HOOVER, Ala. - The Barons will once again broadcast their games on WYDE, 101.1 FM "The Source" and WYDE, 1260 AM for the 2009 season.
"This has been a great partnership between the Barons and all of our stations here at WYDE," WYDE National Sales Manager Jennifer Paepcke said of the relationship that began in 2003. "It has been a great fit for our listeners because they are definitely supporters of the Barons."
WYDE's switch back to talk radio will make the partnership an even better fit, according to Paepcke.
The 2009 season will also mark the first time that 6:05 PM CST games will be broadcast in its entirety on 101.1 FM "The Source." Games beginning at 7:05 PM CST will continue to be broadcast on 101.1 FM. Games beginning at or before 5:05 PM CST will remain on 1260 AM.
"Consistency is very important when it comes to radio, and we're very happy that we can deliver the night-game broadcast in it's entirety on a great, 100,000-wat FM station," Barons Director of Broadcasting, Curt Bloom said.
The Barons first game is scheduled for Thursday, April 9 when the Chattanooga Lookouts visit Regions Park. You can catch all the action on 101.1 FM.
For tickets you can call (205) 988-3200, order tickets on the team's website at barons.com, or you can come to the Regions Park box office.
