Barons announce 2005 training camp schedule

CLEVELAND - Cleveland Barons President Michael T. Lehr announced today the club's 2005 training camp schedule with all on-ice activities slated for Lakefront Arena (formerly Barons Arena) on Hauserman Road in Parma, Ohio.

All players attending training camp will report to the Barons on Sunday, September 25th. Monday, September 26th will feature morning physicals followed by the first on-ice practice session of the camp. All on-ice practices are tentatively scheduled for 10am and are open to the public.

The Barons will play two exhibition games as part of training camp against American Hockey League opponents Hamilton and Grand Rapids. Friday, September 30th the Barons will travel to Welland, Ontario where they face the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7pm. The team will then bus to Lansing, Michigan for a match up against the Grand Rapids Griffins at Summit Arena on Monday, October 1st at 7pm.

Fans can check out the Barons official web site, www.clevelandbarons.net, for a more exact training camp practice schedule later this month. Lakefront Arena is located at 5310 Hauserman Road in Parma, Ohio near the Tiedeman Road exit off Interstate-480.

The Barons will open their 2005-06 Regular Season schedule on the National City Rink located in Gund Arena on Saturday, October 8th against the Rochester Americans at 7:05pm. Fans can secure their seat to the home opener by purchasing any Full Season, Partial Plan, or 20-Game Flex Plan package.
