Barnstormers Sign Offensive Powerhouse

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have signed wide receiver Zac Parker to the 2022 roster, Head Coach Dave Mogensen announced today.

Parker (5-9, 190, Virginia State) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his first season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). A standout athlete in high school, Parker earned numerous accolades from his alma mater graduating as a three year letter winner, All-State and All-Region First Team Wide Receiver, All-State and All-Region Second Team Defensive Back, and All District Honoree. Collegiately, Parker began his career at Liberty University where he spent three years with the Flames appearing in over 25 games in a variety of roles, mostly wide receiver and special teams. Parker then transferred to Virginia State University to complete his college career with the Trojans, earning All CIAA Honorable Mention.

Following college, Parker earned in invitation to the Washington Football Team's Rookie Mini Camp in 2018. Parker then caught the attention of the CFL, earning a spot on the Montreal Alouettes practice squad in 2019.

"We are really excited to sign Zac," said Head Coach Mogensen. "Adding a multi-purpose weapon like him offensively is a big get for our organization. Zac has proven he can compete at the highest levels with his NFL and CFL experience and we look forward to seeing him flourish in the IFL."

Parker will enter the Iowa Barnstormers 2022 Training Camp in the spring.
