Barnaby, Ray and Daneyko to headline Frostbite Celebrity Golf Classic

Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Frostbite, proud member of the United Hockey League, announced today they will be hosting the First Annual Frostbite Celebrity Golf Classic on August 15th at the Hiland Country Club. Celebrities headlining the tournament include: Matthew Barnaby (Chicago Blackhawks), Rob Ray (Buffalo Sabres) and Ken Daneyko (New Jersey Devils).

Proceeds from the tournament will go to benefit The Colon Club, an organization founded by local colon cancer survivor and advocate Molly McMaster, which raises awareness of colorectal cancer in young people.

Currently, 17 Celebrities are scheduled to play in the tournament including Barry Melrose (ESPN Commentator), Kevin Dineen (Columbus Blue Jackets), Steve Levy (ESPN Commentator), Chris Terreri (New Jersey Devils), Marc Potvin (Adirondack Frostbite), Jamie Pushor (Columbus Blue Jackets), Doug Houda (Buffalo Sabres), Peter Dineen (Columbus Blue Jackets), Gord Dineen (Utah Grizzlies), Hugo Belanger (Adirondack Frostbite), Bob Rapoza (Adirondack Frostbite), Sylvain Cloutier (Adirondack Frostbite), Gates Orlando (New Jersey Devils) and Greg Koehler (Adirondack Frostbite). More celebrities are expected to be announced over the next few weeks.

The tournament format will be a five-man scramble (four players and a celebrity) with a shotgun start at 1PM. Registration fee per golfer is $150, which includes greens fees, cart, dinner, goodie bag, lunch, hole-in-one chances, closest to the pin and longest drive prizes, putting contest and prizes to the top three teams. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
