ROSEMONT - The Chicago Bandits and Windy City ThunderBolts will meet up in the next chapter of "Battle of the Sexes" on July 23 at Standard Bank Stadium in Crestwood, Illinois.

The Bandits, winners of four consecutive Battle of the Sexes games, topped the ThunderBolts 4-2 during the 2017 season and hold an 8-1 all-time mark against professional baseball teams.

"The Battle of the Sexes game always offers our organization an opportunity to grow the game of softball in a unique environment," Bandits general manager Toni Calmeyn said. "The ThunderBolts have been great hosts in past seasons and we look forward to the continuation of the event this year."

A crowd of 1,789 fans filed into Standard Bank Stadium in the 2017 version of Battle of the Sexes, many donned in black-and-orange Bandits gear after the team hosted a two-hour softball clinic before the game.

The Bandits will offer the two-hour clinic again before a 7:05 p.m. first pitch in the July 23 game.

The ThunderBolts, members of the independent Frontier League, are set to enter their 24th season of professional baseball.

Tickets for the Battle of the Sexes game can be purchased exclusively through the ThunderBolts. Please visit wcthunderbolts.com for more information.
