
Bandits Sign Brownell to Two-Year Deal

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Bandits today announced the team has signed transition player Kevin Brownell to a two-year deal, pending league approval.
Brownell (6'1", 179 lbs., 8/16/1988) recorded 14 points (3+11) in 17 regular-season games during the 2018-19 season with the Bandits. He recovered 74 loose balls last season, including the 500th of his career, and caused 13 turnovers, which ranked fifth on the team. The Milgrove, Ontario native appeared in all four Bandits playoff games, recording two points (1+1) and picking up 22 loose balls. He finished the postseason ranked third on the Bandits and fifth in the NLL in loose balls recovered during the postseason.
One of the team's two alternate captains, Brownell is currently the third-longest tenured Bandit on the team, having played 108 career games for Buffalo. He has totaled 96 points (32+64) during the regular season in addition to recording seven points (2+5) in nine postseason games. He has recovered 514 loose balls over the course of his career and currently sits one loose ball shy of tying Kyle Couling for 10th most in franchise history. Brownell played four years of collegiate lacrosse at Robert Morris University before being selected by Buffalo in the third round (22nd overall) of the 2012 NLL Entry Draft.
