Bandits Explode Bats In 11-3 Victory Over Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio - The Quad Cities River Bandits took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning and held on the rest of the way scoring nine more runs in the following seven innings. The Bandits' bats exploded for 11 runs in the win on 13 hits, including five extra base hits.

Alan Ahmaday led the way for Quad Cities going 3-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored. Ahamady (1) slugged his first homer of the season and also added a double in the three hit performance. Matt Adams contributed a three-hit night going 3-for-5 with two RBI. Devin Goodwin (4) chipped in with a multi-hit game as he went 2-for-5 with his fourth homer of the season. Robert Stock added a two-hit game going 2-for-5. Luis Mateo scored three runs in his 1-for-5 performance.

Jorge Rondon (4-5) was credited with his fourth win after going seven strong for the Bandits. Rondon surrendered three runs, two earned and walked just one in the win over Dayton. Chris Notti closed out the game for the Bandits going the final two innings without allowing a hit. Blair Carson (3-4) was charged with his fourth loss of the season after surrendering seven runs, six earned on eight hits.

The River Bandits look to take another from Dayton on Sunday afternoon at Fifth Third Field. The Bandits will send right-hander Shelby Miller (3-4) to face off with Jacob Johnson (5-6). Game time is set for 3 p.m. in Dayton for the second of the three game set between the Bandits and Dragons.
