Bandits defeat Swarm 11-7

The Buffalo Bandits handed the Minnesota Swarm their third loss of the season Saturday night, defeating them by a score of 11-7. The victory now moves Buffalo to 7-4 on the season.
Delby Powless led the Bandits in scoring with 6 points (3+3). Mark Steenhuis, John Tavares and Dan Teat were a close second with five points each. Steenhuis and Tavares each tallied five points with two goals and three assists. Teat scored one goal and had five assists on the night. Clay Hill added four points (2+2) to his season total. Roger Vyse added a goal and two assists for the Bandits.
Rusty Kruger led Buffalo with 15 penalty minutes in the game, while playing only 8:12 of the game.
Ken Montour made 49 saves en route to his fifth victory of the season. The netminder allowed seven goals off 56 shots on goal.
The Bandits will next square off with the Toronto Rock at HSBC Arena on Sat., Mar. 22. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices range from $19 to $29.
