Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - An online auction of the special black jerseys and helmets worn tonight by the Colorado Mammoth is now live at ColoradoMammoth.com. Each helmet and jersey will be autographed by the player that wore it.
Bidding starts at $50 with all proceeds from the auction benefiting Mammoth initiatives of the Kroenke Sports Enterprises charity program.
As part of its Blackout theme, the Mammoth is wearing black uniforms for the first time in the team's six-year history.
"The Blackout is something we've wanted to do for a long time," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "Once we were able to get these great-looking, all-black uniforms, we quickly realized that they would serve as a nice fundraising project for KSE Charities."
The auction will run for one week, closing at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 15
