The Blast will open the season at 1st Mariner Arena this Friday night against the defending champion Philadelphia KiXX.

Todd, Baltimore's 2007 first-round MISL Amateur Draft pick, played college soccer at Hofstra University and was the 2006 Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year after recording 10 goals and three assists for 26 points. He turned pro in 2003 when he joined the Toronto Olympians of the CSL and has also played for Toronto Croatia (2004 and 2007), the Oakville Blue Devils (2005) and United Soccer League's Toronto Lynx (2006). Devlin and Pierce, teammates on the USL Division 2 champion Harrisburg City Islanders, signed five-game contracts with the Blast. He had two assists for the City Islanders this summer. Pierce, who had one goal for Harrisburg this season, played two seasons at Binghamton University and two seasons at Herkimer County (NY) Community College where he led the team to two NJCAA Region III Championships.
