
Balanced effort pushes Toros over Flyers

AUSTIN, TEXAS - Kris Clack scored 20 points as the Austin Toros defeated the Fort Worth Flyers 115-101 on Sunday afternoon at the Austin Convention Center. BJ Elder added 20 points and eight rebounds for the Toros, who improved to 19-23 on the season.
Sunday afternoon's game was the third time in three nights that the Toros had played the Flyers. The Toros won Friday night's match-up in Fort Worth by the score of 118-114 and nearly overcame a 25-point deficit on Saturday night but ended up losing 113-109.
The Toros used a strong second quarter and outscored the Flyers 36-26 in the period on 54 percent shooting. Troy Bell scored 11 of his 16 points in the quarter. Four other Toros in double figures included Cheyne Gadson (17), Justin Bowen (15) and Brad Buckman (13). Jamar Smith collected a team-high 13 points and scored 12 points.
Jeremy Richardson led the Flyers in scoring with 21 points on 9-of-18 shooting. Ndudi Ebi collected a team-high nine rebounds and blocked two shots for Fort Worth, who dropped to 25-17 on the season.
