Bakersfield, Calif., August 9, 2006 - The Bakersfield Jam will be holding their first annual Pick-A-Seat Night presented by KERO 23, at the Rabobank Arena at 1001 Truxtun Ave., Bakersfield, Calif., 93301 on Tuesday, August 15 from 4pm - 8pm. At this event, the community will be invited into the arena where current and potential season ticket holders can reserve and get a feel for their seats this upcoming season.
Pick-A-Seat Night gives supporters the ability to see the view from every seat in the arena as well as choose who they want to share the experience with throughout the season. However, this event is for more than just season ticket holders. The event will also include a dance clinic, games and prizes. The dance clinic will be held by the Bakersfield Jam dance team who invites children and adults of all ages to meet the team and run through dance routines with them.
Bakersfield Jam Head Coach, Jim Harrick, will also be on hand to greet the members of his new community. Coach Harrick has placed an impressive list of players in the NBA. That group includes Ed O'Bannon and Tyus Edney from UCLA, along with Lamar Odom, Keith Owens, Jerome "Pooh" Richardson, Mitchell Butler, Trevor Wilson, Darrick Martin and Bakersfield's own J.R. Henderson.
