BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Blaze have come upon the last month of the regular season. August 6th - 9th the Blaze will be hosting the second half leaders, the Modesto Nuts, and we have plenty of promotions taking place on this homestand!
The first game of the homestand against the Nuts is on Thursday, August 6th. The opener is Budweiser Throwback Thirsty Thursday, featuring $1 dollar beer beginning when gates open at 6;30 pm and ending at 8:30 pm! This evening is also a Toys for Tots Drive, so bring a new toy to the ballpark and get a free ticket to the game! Just a reminder, Toys for Tots will not accept toys that symbolize weapons. First pitch of the baseball game is set for 7:30pm.
Friday, August 7th is Fireworks Friday, presented by the Bakersfield Blaze! The game will also start at 7:30 pm. Gates open at 6:30pm. Make sure to stay after the game to see the fireworks directly above the outfield fence!
Night three on the homestand is Saturday, August 8th and is our Derek Carr Jersey Giveaway sponsored by Bakersfield Christian High School and D&M Morris Farms. The first 1,000 fans will get Derek Carr Replica Jerseys, so make sure to get there BEFORE gates open at 6:30 pm to ensure you get your jersey. First pitch is set for 7:30 pm, once again!
Sunday, August  9th is the last game of the homestand against the Modesto Nuts and the Blaze are hosting a party ... a Princess Party, that is! The Princess Party at Sam Lynn Ballpark will feature Frozen's Anna and Elsa accompanied by the Amazing Spider-Man! The Princess Party runs from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, so don't miss out! And, as always, the Kids Zone is free all game thanks to K12! Gates open at 6:30 pm and first pitch is an hour later!
With only 4 more homestands left in the regular season, we would love to see Bakersfield support their hometown team down the final stretch of the season!Â
