Cleveland Force News Release


The Force will return to WUAB TV-43 The Block this Saturday for its fourth televised game. This was scheduled to be the fifth game but the game on February 16th was cancelled due to inclement weather that prevented the Dallas Sidekicks from making it back to Texas to play the game.

Catch Al Pawlowski as he calls all the action between the Force and the Milwaukee Wave. The game is scheduled to begin at 2:05 p.m.

CLOSE CALLS:

With just seven games remaining in the regular season, the Cleveland has seen its share of close calls. The Force has played 29 games this season and 10 of those games have been decided by two or less points.

In the 10 close call games, Cleveland has posted a record of 7-3 with the latest close call game coming on Sunday as the Force defeated the Dallas Sidekicks 10-8 in overtime.

BONUS TIME:

The Force played their third overtime game of the season on Sunday afternoon.

Cleveland now has a mark of 2-1 in overtime games after defeating the Dallas Sidekicks 10-8. Ironically, all of the overtime games were decided by a mark of 10-8. Cleveland lost the first extra session game 10-8 to the Milwaukee Wave on February 5th and then posted a 10-8 victory over the San Diego Sockers on February 15th.

FRIDAY NIGHT SPECIAL:

The Force played their eighth Friday night game last week when the Harrisburg Heat came to the Convocation Center at Cleveland State University. Cleveland defeated the Heat 16-8 and now has an 8-0 record this season on Friday nights including a 7-0 mark at home.

The Force has posted three wins over both Harrisburg and San Diego and one win each over Dallas and Philadelphia on Friday nights. Cleveland will have one more chance to remain perfect on Friday nights for the season when they play host to the KiXX on March 14th.

FORCE TALK SHOW:

Head Coach Andy Schmetzer and a Force player will join host Matt Loede every Thursday afternoon from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Sportstalkcleveland.com for the Cleveland Force Talk Show.

The head coach and the players will discuss the MISL, the team and the upcoming games.

TELEVISION PARTY HEADQUARTERS:

Shula's Steak 2, which is located in the Hilton South. Just off Route 480 and 77 on Rockside Road, is the official headquarters of all Force television games.

Fans will be able to join Force non-traveling players and staff at Shula's Steak 2 to watch the games on the Big Screen as well as several other televisions located in the restaurant. Drink and appetizer specials will be available during each game.
