Metairie, LA - The Baby Cakes are celebrating the New Orleans Tricentennial on Saturday, June 2 when they face the Memphis Redbirds at 6 p.m.

The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a limited edition St. Charles Ave. Street Car Bobble and the second 1,000 fans will receive a Jefferson Convention & Visitor Bureau "Sights of NOLA" card set, depicting various locations of the Greater New Orleans Area that the JCVB encourages you to visit.

The Baby Cakes will wear a special Tricentennial jersey, sponsored by Home Bank, and the jerseys will be available for fans to purchase during an in-game auction and claim from the players following the game. All proceeds will go to the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA). The jerseys, featuring a "Cakes 300" logo, were designed by NOCCA senior Isaac Thaxton.

"We wanted to have an authentic vision from the local youth and Issac knocked this out of the ballpark," said Baby Cakes assistant general manager Bob Moullette. "We appreciate our partnership with NOCCA and know this only the beginning. Supporting our local youth is important to us, and this provided students with real world experience."

Thaxton's Tricentennial "300" logo concept will be featured on a limited edition shirt available for preorder at www.cakesbaseball.com/shop starting Tuesday, May 22, with 10% of sales from the shirts going to NOCCA throughout the remainder of the season.
