Round Rock Express News Release
ROUND ROCK, Texas - The boys are back in town! The Round Rock Express return home to Dell Diamond tonight, Monday, May 21, to open a quick four-game homestand against the Iowa Cubs (Chicago Cubs affiliate). Even though it's just four games, there's still plenty of fun to be had at the ballpark.
The homestand begins with $1 Hot Dogs and Sodas on Monday night, thanks Mrs Baird's. Fans can enjoy endless Nolan Ryan Beef hot dogs and sodas for just $1 from the time gates open until the final out is recorded.
Tuesday's 7:05 p.m. first pitch against the Iowa Cubs is another Half-Price Tuesday, presented by M/I Homes. Fans can bring more friends and family with tickets at half-off the day-of-game pricing.
The Express are hosting their first-ever Wine & Nine event on Wednesday, May 23. When purchasing tickets online, fans can use promo code WINE to unlock a $17 infield reserved ticket package that includes an Express-branded collapsible wine tumbler and access to a wine tasting along the first base concourse that features various local wineries and distributors as well as a food tasting by Jack Allen's Kitchen.
The night is also a Winning Wednesday, presented by Texas Lottery, as fans have the chance to win great prizes all game long. The Express are also joining forces with the Round Rock Area Serving Center to Strike Out Hunger. Fans can bring two H-E-B branded canned goods in exchange for one lawn ticket to see the Express face the Cubs.
The homestand concludes on Thursday with the annual Military Appreciation Night, presented by ReBath and Navy Federal Credit Union. The special tribute to our armed forces will feature a pregame flyover by Freedom Flyers, as well as a pregame ride around the warning track by the Patriot Guard Riders. Founder of 22 Kill, a nonprofit organization that provides resources to veterans that focus on suicide prevention and mental health, Jake Schick will be on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
The Express will also honor Austin native and the oldest living war veteran, Richard Overton, as well as local World War II veterans and each branch of the armed services during the game. The newest group of U.S. Marines will also be sworn in during a special ceremony during the game.
As always, thanks to Firetrol Protection Services, Thursday night is also The Original Thirsty Thursday, with discounted draft beer specials and $1 sodas throughout the game.
