Rockford Lightning News Release

The first 200 women twenty-one and older in attendance for the Rockford Lightning game this Tuesday night against the Gary Steelheads will have a chance to win a diamond ring courtesy of B. Sanfield.

Stereotypically, Valentine's Day has not been a day for sporting events in the United States. The nationally celebrated Hallmark holiday has been used in the past as a time for romantic candlelight dinners and late night walks in the park. This year, The Rockford Lightning have teamed with B. Sanfield to offer a diamond ring giveaway to one lucky lady in attendance on Tuesday, February 14th, at the Rockford MetroCentre.

Tip-Off for Tuesday night's matchup with the Steelheads is set for 7:05 P.M. (CST). Doors will open at 6:00, and the first 200 women twenty-one and older in attendance will receive a key for a chance to unlock a box at halftime containing a diamond ring valued at $1,200 from B. Sanfield. One lucky woman is guaranteed to walk away that night with this giveaway, and it could be you!

"This will be a big night for a lucky fan," said Lightning General Manager Michael Neville. "Imagine forgetting Valentines Day and still winding up with a $1,200 diamond ring to take home that night. B. Sanfield is coming through big for a Lightning fan this year."

A limited number of tickets to Tuesday night's game will be sold for $1.49 courtesy of WXRX. Show up early and give your date a chance to win a diamond ring at halftime of the Lightning game. Group tickets can be purchased in advance through the Lightning office at a discounted price by calling 815-874-4232. Single game tickets can be purchased through the MetroCentre Box Office by calling 815-968-5222.

The Lightning are in Sioux Falls this weekend to take on the Skyforce. Tip-off for the Friday and Saturday night games is set for 7:05 P.M. (CST), and Lightning fans can follow along with the team while they are on the road this season by logging onto www.cbahoopsonline.com and checking out the LIVE webcasts.
