Aarom Baldiris homered twice and went 4 for 5 with four RBI, pacing the Binghamton Mets to a 10-6 victory over the New Britain Rock Cats at NYSEG Stadium Wednesday. The B-Mets evened up the three-game series at a game apiece and have won three of five.

After New Britain (33-45) went on top 1-0 in the first on a Doug Deeds double and two Ken Chenard wild pitches, Baldiris hit his first homer of the game with one out in the bottom of the first off New Britain hurler Matt Yeatman, tying the score.

The B-Mets (37-37) would take the lead for good with a four-run second. After Mike Jacobs led off with a single and advanced to second on a Yeatman (2-6) wild pitch, Chase Lambin doubled down the rightfield line to bring Jacobs home for the lead. After Jeff Duncan walked, David Bacani followed with a double of his own, scoring Lambin. Three batters later, Baldiris made it 5-1 with a two-run single to center that brought home Duncan and Bacani.

After New Britain score single runs off Chenard (6-6) in the fourth and fifth to pull within two, the B-Mets used the longball to put the game away in the fifth. Baldiris led off the inning with his second homer of the night and Bobby Malek followed with a single, chasing Yeatman. Two batters later, Jacobs homered over the left-centerfield fence and Lambin followed with a longball to left for a 9-3 lead. After Duncan singled, Victor Hall capped off the inning with an RBI triple, scoring Duncan and putting the B-Mets up 10-3. New Britain would score once in the seventh and twice in the eighth, but relievers Tim McNab and Bryan Edwards were able to preserve the victory for Chenard.

Thursday, the B-Mets play the rubber game of their three-game series against New Britain at NYSEG Stadium. Yusmeiro Petit (2-2, 2.77) will be on the mound for Binghamton against New Britain lefthander Glen Perkins (0-0, 3.00). Game time is 7:00 with the Horizon's Federal Credit Union Pre-Game Show kicking off the radio broadcast at 6:45 on Newsradio 1290 WNBF.
