Aztex to Host All-Air Force Team on May 6 for Military Appreciation Night

AUSTIN, Texas (Tuesday, March 17, 2015) - The Austin Aztex have announced they will host a Military Appreciation Night friendly versus the All-Air Force Men's Soccer team on Wednesday, May 6 at House Park.
The All-Air Force team will be assembled of soccer players who chose to forgo an opportunity to play professional soccer and instead give back to their country by joining the U.S. Air Force. In April, 40 of the best soccer players in the Air Force will come together for tryouts in San Antonio. The All-Air Force team will play the Aztex and other clubs in preparation for the U.S. Armed Forces Tournament versus the best of the Marines, Army, and Navy in San Diego starting the week of May 13, 2015.
"We were honored to be approached by the coach of the All-Air Force Team for this match," Aztex Head Coach Paul Dalglish said. "We want to do our part to help these servicemen prepare for the U.S. Armed Forces Tournament."
The top 18 players from the U.S. Armed Forces Tournament will advance to compete in the Military Olympics as national representatives. The Military Appreciation night will also include a Swearing-in Ceremony as well as amenities including a jet engine display, mini F-22 jet, and more.
Single game tickets to the Military Appreciation game start as low as $15. The game will count as the 15th game of the season for Aztex season ticket holders.
The Austin Aztex kick off their inaugural 2015 season in USL with a home match versus the Colorado Springs Switchbacks on March 28 at House Park. Aztex fans can join the Aztex Originals club with the purchase of a season ticket by April 17, 2015. The Aztex Originals club will reward Aztex fans that are with the club from the beginning of its first professional season and can be joined by simply purchasing season tickets for as little as $99 for youth, and $175 for adults.
