
Ayers Joins Grand Rapids Griffins

Dayton, OH â The Dayton Bombers of the ECHL announced on Thursday goaltender MIKE AYERS was recalled by the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins.
Ayers posted a record of 15 wins, 28 losses and 5 shootout losses with a goals against average (GAA) of 2.90 in 51 games with the Bombers this season. The Hingham, Massachusetts native was also named Dayton's Rookie of the Year.
The Griffins are 5 points out of the final playoff spot in the AHL West Division with 3 games remaining. Grand Rapids plays host to Cincinnati tomorrow and San Antonio Saturday, before ending the regular season in Cincinnati on Sunday.
