Loves Park, ILLINOIS- The Rockford Aviators will host the River City Rascals on July17th through July 19th. The first game against River City will kick start a weekend filled with promotions from Swedish American, OSF, and Schnucks.
Friday, July 17th @ 4:00 p.m.- Schnucks Food Drive & Post Game Fireworks
The first night will be a double header due to the continuation of the rainout game from June 25th. This game will start in the 2nd inning and go the full nine innings. The next contest will start thirty minuets after and only go seven innings. Schnucks is hosting a can food drive that night and by bringing a non-perishable food item for donation, any fan can receive $2 off a regular priced ticket. OSF Saint Anthony College of nurses will have a gate giveaway and there will be post game fireworks presented by Power Connections.
Saturday, July 18th @ 7:05 p.m.- Strike Out Stroke
The surrounding Rockford area hospitals, Swedish American, Rockford Memorial, OSF, and VanMatre hospital are sponsoring "Strike Out Stroke" night at Aviators Stadium. There will be free blood pressure checks and the first 250 fans to get their blood pressure checked will receive a seat cushion. The hospitals will also be handing out gate giveaways at random times and there will be stroke awareness information posted by each hospital.
Sunday, July 19th @ 3:05 p.m.- Family Day
The Aviators conclude their home stand versus River City on Sunday at 3:05pm. Fans will be allowed to play catch in right field from 2-2:30pm. We recommend all fans interested in playing on the field be at the gate when it opens at 2pm. After the game all kids will be invited down to the field and can run the bases.
