
Aviators fall in ninth

ROBSTOWN, Texas â The Coastal Bend Aviators fail in the ninth inning to Pensacola 2-1 on Tuesday night. The teams face off again tomorrow night for game two of the three-game series.
Carlos Figuereo got things started for the Aviators hitting a single out to centerfield scoring Kenny Hansley in the third inning.
Joe Espada hit a solo homerun shot over the left field wall in the top of the fourth inning to tie the game at 1-1.
Nestor Smith brought Carlos Mendoza in on Single to right field in the top of the ninth inning to make the score 2-1 for Pensacola.
Bubba Dobson (2-0) got the win for Pensacola pitching two innings of relief, giving up three hits. Josh Courage gets his fifth save of the season.
Dan Henderson (1-2) took the loss for the Aviators in relief. Despite a no decision, Jose Luis lopez pitched eight innings, giving up four hits and only one earned run.
The Aviators are back at home again on Wednesday facing Pensacola in game two of the three-game series. Wednesday is family night, four hotdogs, four soft drinks, four tickets for only 25 dollars.
