Los Angeles Avengers News Release
LOS ANGELES - Even though it is the off-season, Avenger players, coaches and "A-Team" dancers regularly visit schools, hospitals and community events.
This week, head coach Ed Hodgkiss, assistant head coach Brent Winter and "A-Team" dancers Becky and Lindsey spent Tuesday, November 7 at the 9th Annual Sportsmen Helping Children Pheasant Hunt in the city of Corona. The pheasant hunt which took place at Raahauge's Shooting Enterprises was put on to raise funds for children organizations in Southern California. Hodgkiss and Winter both took part in the pheasant hunt as celebrity guests and interacted with fellow hunters.
"Our group had a great day of hunting," Hodgkiss said. "But the real reason we're here today is to help raise money for these great organizations."
The "A-Team" dancers took the opportunity to sign autographs, assist with the sale of raffle tickets and pose for pictures with participants.
Over the last eight years the Sportsmen Helping Children Pheasant Hunt has provided more than $700,000 in sporting goods and recreational products to the following primary benefactors, McKinley Children's Center, Miller Children's Hospital, Shoes That Fit, CAST (Children's Abuse Service Team), The David & Margaret Home and Hillview Acres Children's Home.
