Nashville Kats News Release
NASHVILLE- The Nashville Kats of the Arena Football League waived DB Reggie Stephens and FB Travis Wilson announced Head Coach/Dir. of Football Operations Pat Sperduto.
Stephens played two seasons with the Kats as a defensive back after a career in the NFL that saw him spend time with the New York Giants and Denver Broncos. Stephens played in nine games for the Kats in 2006, starting all nine appearances registering 37 tackles and five pass break-ups.
Wilson never stepped on the field for the Kats as he was on the team's exempt list while with the club. Wilson was acquired by the Kats in October of 2005 and last played with the Hamburg Sea Devils of NFL Europe after being allocated by the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers.
Nashville will continue to sign players in the coming months gearing up for a 2007 season in which the Kats will compete in the AFL's Central Division. The division houses the past two ArenaBowl Champions (Chicago Rush 2006, Colorado Crush 2005) and added the Kansas City Brigade in a realignment change.
