Austin Youth Standout AJ Francois Joins Austin Bold FC

Austin, TX - Austin Bold FC is excited to announce the addition of AJ Francois on an academy contract for the remainder of the 2020 USL Championship season, pending league and federation approval. Per club policy, contract terms will not be released.

"I'm extremely blessed and excited to join this wonderful club and be a part of the soccer history in my hometown," said Francois. "I hope to be an agent of positive change and influence within the squad and contribute to the team's title-winning ambitions. Dale Bold!"

Francois joined Lonestar SC in 2012 at the age of eight and rose through their youth organization as a part of various competitive teams, including Lonestar SC's Developmental Academy squad. Currently, he captains the Lonestar U19 ECNL South team and attends the Soccer Academy at St. Stephen's Episcopal School.

Francois's signing continues Austin Bold FC's organization-wide initiative to develop soccer in Austin by giving youth players the opportunity for professional training in their hometown. Francois joins other Austin natives Sonny Guadarrama, Kris Trypak, Beto Avila, Nathaniel Adamolekun, Edward Alonzi, Zac Kos, Derrick Espinal, and Alan Rivera at Austin Bold FC.
