(CEDAR PARK, TEXAS - APR. 2, 2015) - Jarell Eddie sank five-of-six from behind the arc in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, but the Austin Spurs fell short to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 122-116 Thursday night during Autism Awareness Day on the SWBC Court inside the Cedar Park Center. Rio Grande Valley's Jarvis Threatt tied his season-high in scoring (32 points, eight rebounds, eight assists).
Jarell Eddie led the team in scoring with 23 points and four rebounds. San Antonio assignee Kyle Anderson notched 22 points and a season-high five blocks. Orlando Johnson contributed 22 points and eights rebounds.
The Vipers came out strong, shooting 57.1 percent from behind the arc in the first half and leading Austin 66-50 at the half. Austin outscored RGV 66-56 in the second half, but the effort would fall short.
Tony Bishop added 29 points and eight rebounds on the night. Travis Bader contributed 19 points in the winning effort, while Akil Mitchell grabbed a new season-high 21 rebounds.
