A sensational performance by Brockton starting pitcher John Kelly leads the Rox to victory over the Ottawa Rapidz. Kelly hurled a complete game giving up two earned runs on only four hits with a walk and 12 big strikeouts. With the win Kelly runs his record to 9-5 on the season. Rox RF Dennis Abreu and LF Jud Thigpen each hit two-run homers to lead the Brockton offense. For Ottawa in defeat, 1B Jabe Bergeron went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning.

Atlantic City 5, Nashua 3

Atlantic City scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to break a 3-3 tie and defeat the Nashua Pride. DH Clyde Williams led the Surf offense going a perfect 3-for-3 on the night with two home runs and three RBI. SS Anthony Granato also hit a home run for Atlantic City and was 2-for-5 at the plate. Surf starting pitcher Rory Shortell picked up his 10th win of the year allowing three earned runs on eight hits with two strikeouts. Atlantic City reliever Kyle George notched his sixth save of the year pitching a scoreless ninth inning.

Sussex starting pitcher Gary Galvez had a solid outing on the mound in leading the Skyhawks over the New Jersey Jackals. Galvez hurled eight shutout innings allowing only three hits and a walk while striking out seven New Jersey batters. Galvez evened his mark at 5-5 on the year. Matt Petrusek allowed a run in the ninth inning but held on for his 22nd save of the year. C Yohanny Valera led Sussex at the plate going 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI.

Quebec 5, Worcester 1

In a battle of two of the best pitchers in the Can-Am League this season, Quebec's Michel Simard outdueled Worcester's Tom Cochran in the Capitales victory over the Tornadoes. Simard notched his 13th win of the season going seven shutout innings allowing five hits and a walk while striking out four batters. Cochran on the other hand picked up his third loss of the year going five innings and giving up five earned runs on four hits. CF Geofrey Tomlinson for Quebec went 1-for-4 on the night and collected his sixth home run of the season. Worcester CF BJ Weed went 1-for-4 and scored their lone run of the evening.
