Atlético Ottawa Announces Front Office Team for the 2024

OTTAWA, ON - Atlético Ottawa is pleased to announce changes to the club's front office organizational structure, with multiple new employees joining one of Ottawa's fastest-growing sporting organizations.

Drew Beckie has been promoted to Director of Development and Player Engagement

Drew Beckie joined Atlético Ottawa's front office staff ahead of the 2023 Canadian Premier League season having retired from an illustrious playing career that stemmed over 12 years and across two continents. After one year as Team Manager, Beckie has been promoted to Director of Development and Player Engagement which entails creating the development pathway to ensure that the club improves the identification of local players and facilitates their pathway to professionalism.

Karl Ouimette joins front office as the new Business Development Executive

Karl Ouimette has taken the decision to move away from the soccer pitch for 2024 and joins Atlético's front office as Business Development Executive after mutually terminating his player agreement. He will work closely with Drew Beckie on the developing side of the club, as well as focusing on developing new soccer business opportunities for the Club. Looking to build more soccer alliances in the Quebec region, powered by clubs, organization of camps and clinics, and many others.

Jon Sinden promoted to Chief Operating Officer

Jon Sinden has been promoted and will see Chief Operating Officer (COO) duties added to his Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) role ahead of the 2024 CPL season. Sinden will now be responsible for overseeing the areas of Marketing, Media and Content, Community and Comms, Ticketing, Game Day and Retail.

"Jon has an outstanding professional career in positions of responsibility and has been part of Atlético since the beginning," said Fernando López, CEO, Atlético Ottawa. "Powered us to the massive off-field success and the multiple CPL Business Awards the club received including Club of the Year as we strive to keep growing."

Brandon Dhillon promoted to Senior Partnerships Director and Revenue Strategy

Director of Partnerships, Brandon Dhillon, has been promoted to Senior Partnerships Director and Revenue Strategy, with Daniel Robles joining the growing front office team as Partnerships Sales Manager.

López added: "Brandon has been instrumental in our recent business achievements. He will also add to his responsibilities so we can expand and sustain new growth for our organization. Adding Daniel is a testament to our desire to keep growing our connection with the local business sector, and provide greater support to our Partnerships team."

Atleti Women in Soccer initiative takes flight

The Atleti Women in Soccer initiative was launched in January 2024, offering a self-identifying female with a degree of sporting experience the opportunity to work and grow in a professional football club environment. Through this initiative, two talented candidates have joined Atlético's team: Jessie Porter Maclennan (Marketing Co-ordinator) and Caitlin Pavone (Operations Coordinator).

Atlético welcomes new Account Manager

Fares Fares has joined as an Account Manager, working directly under the supervision of Max Rosen, Director of Business Development. Fares' experience in sales and passion for soccer made him an ideal candidate to keep Atlético growing into new local soccer markets while also keeping up with an ever-more soccer-educated and passionate Season Seat Membership base.
