Atlanta Vision News Release

SUWANEE, GA - December 3, 2006 - Atlanta Vision, Atlanta's professional basketball team in Gwinnett hosted the Knoxville Noise in a re-match that ended with a win for the Vision on Saturday night.

In order for the Vision to defend their 2005-06 Divisional Championship, adjustments were needed after their 0 and 3 start to the 06-07 season. During this past week of practice Coach Kreutzer focused on basic fundamentals, with emphasis on ball control. "We want to reduce our turnovers and limit our opponent's second shoots," states Marc Howard, assistant: coach of the Atlanta Vision.

Roster adjustments also impacted the team's focus. New acquisitions included Robert "50" Martin from ESPN's And 1 Streetball Global Tour and Kevin Harrington. Both are experienced athletes expected to provide veteran leadership and defensive support to the Vision roster.

Atlanta exploded to a 32 to 19 lead in the first quarter. Knoxville answered back, cutting the Vision lead within two and closed the half at 45-43. Both teams went head to head with great defensive play throughout the third quarter to maintain the Vision two point lead at 71-69. Fans enjoyed fourth quarter exciting ABA basketball with over seven lead changes before the Atlanta Vision ended with their first season win.

Leading scorers for Vision were Coco Cofield 24 points, Robert Martin adding 20 points, and Jarman Sample bringing home 19 points respectively. Knoxville was lead by Bobby Brown with 24 points and Toby Smith with 16 points.

Atlanta will host the #1 team in the country based on the ABA Power Rankings, Jacksonville Jam, on December 9th at the Suwanee Sports Academy.
