
Atlanta United Announces 2022 Preseason Schedule

ATLANTA - Atlanta United today announced the club's preseason plans ahead of the 2022 MLS Regular Season. Atlanta will play five preseason friendlies before it kicks off the season on Sunday, Feb. 27 against Sporting Kansas City at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (3 p.m., FS1/FOX Deportes).
Atlanta began its preseason Sunday, Jan. 16, and held its first training session on Tuesday, Jan. 18. The team will play its first of five preseason friendlies against Georgia Storm on Jan. 25 (11:00 a.m.) at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground. The match will be open to the media. Media interested in attending will need to RSVP with a member of Atlanta United's Communications Staff.
Atlanta will then face Georgia Revolution on Jan. 30 (12:00 p.m.) at the Turner Soccer Complex on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens. The match will be streamed live on ATLUTD.com/live and open to media. Ticket information will be sent out via email on Monday, Jan. 24 and will go on sale to Season Ticket Members on Tuesday, Jan. 25. Net proceeds from the match will be re-invested directly into the community through the Atlanta United Foundation and the club's multiple community relations initiatives.
The team will then travel to Guadalajara, Mexico for two matches against Celaya FC on Feb. 6 (2:00 p.m. ET) and Chivas Guadalajara on Feb. 13 (TBD) before returning to Atlanta. Both matches will be closed to the public. Atlanta will play its final preseason match at Birmingham Legion FC on Feb. 20 (TBD) at Protective Stadium. Ticket information for the match will be announced in the coming weeks.
