ATLANTA - Atlanta United 2 has been named MLS NEXT Pro Team of the Matchday for Matchday 26, the league announced today. The team earned the honor for the first time following its 2-1 win against Huntsville City FC at Joe Davis Stadium on Sept. 10.

The win - Atlanta United 2's ninth of the season and second consecutive win - keeps the team alive in the MLS NEXT Pro playoff race as they trail seventh placed Huntsville City FC by four points with two matches to play.

Machop Chol and Jackson Conway starred for Atlanta United 2 in the win, as Chol scored his first goal of the season for ATL UTD 2 while Conway scored his fifth of the season in the sixth and final minute of stoppage time to secure the team's first road win of the season.

ATL UTD 2 returns to action Sunday, Sept. 17 when it hosts Inter Miami CF II at Fifth Third Bank Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET, MLSNEXTPro.com). Some ATL UTD 2 matches are available with an MLS Season Pass subscription, located on the Apple TV app while the remainder of matches are streamed live on MLSNEXTPro.com.
