
Atlanta Hawks Recall Tavares from NBA Development League

ATLANTA, GA - The Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club has recalled center Edy Tavares from the Austin Spurs of the NBA Development League, it was announced today by President of Basketball Operations/Head Coach Mike Budenholzer.
Tavares has appeared in six games in the D-League this season (four with Austin and two with Canton), averaging 10.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in 22.5 minutes (.690 FG%, .909 FT%). In the Spurs' win at the Oklahoma City Blue yesterday, Tavares finished with 17 points, nine rebounds and three blocks in 22 minutes (5-6 FGs, 7-7 FTs).
