Atlanta Dream News Release
ATLANTA, March 3, 2010 - Dream guard Angel McCoughtry was added to the 2010-12 USA Women's National Team roster today, one of 12 additions to the team. McCoughtry is among a pool of 20 players from which the 2010 USA World Championship Team and, should the USA qualify, the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team will be selected.
"It's an honor to represent the United States with some of the most talented athletes in the world, and to be coached by some of the greatest coaches in women's basketball today," said McCoughtry. "I believe being a part of the USA team last fall and my international experience in Slovakia this winter has helped to build my basketball resume. I'm striving to be the best wherever I'm playing, and I try to always give my all."
McCoughtry, the 2009 WNBA Rookie of the Year, was the No. 1 overall pick in last year's draft. She topped the charts among all rookies in points (12.8) and steals (2.2) and ranked fifth in assists (2.1).

Player selections were made by the five member USA Basketball Women's National Team Player Selection Committee.
