TEMPE, AZ (December 30, 2010) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today the training staff for the 2011 CHL All-Star Game scheduled for Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in Rapid City, South Dakota at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Arena. This year ‚¬â„¢s format features the host Rapid City Rush taking on a team of CHL All-Stars comprised of players from the remaining 17 teams. The CHL team ‚¬â„¢s athletic trainer will be Stuart Nichols of the Tulsa Oilers and the equipment manager will be Tony Deynzer of the Colorado Eagles.

The duo was selected thanks to being selected as the 2009-10 CHL Athletic Trainer of the Year and 2009-10 CHL Equipment Manager of the Year, respectively.

Nichols, a native of Fort Smith, Arkansas, will be working in his second all-star game (2003 in Oklahoma City) and is in his third stint as the athletic trainer for the Oilers initially joining the team in 1999.

Deynzer has worked each of the last two all-star games and has been a part of the Eagles two Championship teams. The Peoria, Illinois native has worked in sports since 1995, with the Eagles since 2003.

"The CHL is very proud to have two people of Stuart ‚¬â„¢s and Tony ‚¬â„¢s caliber representing the league at this year ‚¬â„¢s all-star game," said Jim Wiley, CHL Director of Hockey Operations. "Both have been recognized in the past as the best by their peers and I know this year ‚¬â„¢s all-star team will be in good hands."

The Rush ‚¬â„¢s trainers are Osama "Sam" Kassab (athletic trainer) and Romeo Vivit (equipment manager). The pair were the trainers for the Rush during last year ‚¬â„¢s Ray Miron Presidents ‚¬â„¢ Cup Championship.
