PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Northern Arizona Suns found their next leader in their own backyard, today naming longtime team executive Ashley Stovall to the role of Vice President of Business Operations.

Stovall, 33, helped launch the NAZ Suns in Prescott Valley in 2016 and served as NAZ Suns Director of Business Operations through the team's first three seasons, working alongside former team president Chris Presson. In her time with the club, she has overseen the team's ticket sales, marketing partnerships, game operations, marketing, community relations and communications efforts.

"Ashley has shown herself to be a tremendous operator on our G League product," said Vince Kozar, Chief Operating Officer of the Phoenix Suns' Arena Sports Group, which oversees the NAZ Suns, Phoenix Mercury (WNBA) and Arizona Rattlers (IFL). "We are excited about her growth and where she and our team can take our business in Prescott Valley."

In addition to becoming VP of business operations for the NAZ Suns, Stovall has been named VP of business operations for the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League as well. She has been with the Rattlers since 2014.

Stovall has been in the Prescott Valley area since 2009. Before the NAZ Suns, Stovall worked for the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League for three years, the last of which she was Assistant General Manager. She also led the franchise in earning a Community Relations of the Year league award in 2012-13.

"I am very excited and honored to take the next step in my career with the Suns," said Stovall. "Sports has provided me many great opportunities, experiences, and lifelong friendships that have helped guide me to this point. Prescott Valley is my home and I am very fortunate to be doing what I love here. I look forward to continue building a brand and a team that the entire community can love."

The new NAZ Suns VP of business operations moved to Prescott Valley from the Big Island of Hawaii where she was raised. Stovall also serves on the board of directors for WiSE Arizona - Women in Sports Events. Before her sports career took off, Stovall spent 10 years in the hotel and hospitality industry.
