Asheville Acquires Mazur, Waives Truscott

GREENVILLE, S.C., March 3 – The Asheville Altitude of the NBA's National Basketball Development League has acquired Marc Mazur from the available player pool and waived Louis Truscott, according to an announcement by NBDL director of basketball operations and player personnel Chris Alpert and Altitude head coach Joey Meyer.

An NBDL journeyman, this is Mazur's second stint in Asheville. The 6-10, 264-pound center from Detroit ('02) played for Columbus, Roanoke, Asheville and Fayetteville last season, averaging 15.3 minutes, 3.5 points ad 3.0 rebounds. Coupled with 50 games with Fayetteville during the 2002-03 season, his NBDL career statistics are 14.0 minutes, 2.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.

Truscott played in eight games for the Altitude since being acquired on February 4, averaging 13.3 minutes, 2.0 points and 2.4 rebounds.

Mazur is expected to be in uniform when Asheville is host to Columbus on Sunday. He will wear jersey #4.
