A's Roll Through Express
February 21, 2015 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Orangeville A's News Release
BRAMPTON, On.- The Brampton A's took on the NBL Canada defending champions, Windsor Express Saturday night. After an intense battle, the A's defeated the Express 99-91. Brampton is now 16-14.
Despite a 25 point effort from Brampton's bench in the first half, the A's faced a tough Windsor team that maintained a slight advantage for the entire first stint. Brampton held the 6-0 edge in second chance points, keeping them within striking distance.
TyShwan Edmondson and Richard Amardi led the A's at the half with nine points apiece.
Brampton found its rhythm midway through the third quarter, a rhythm that led to a solid run. After the A's snagged its first lead of 71-70, they never looked back as the minutes dwindled down. A number of fast breaks and steals propelled the A's to finish in a high and energetic manner.
Edmondson led all scorers with 21 points, while Kyle Johnson finished with 18 points.
The A's will take on the Moncton Miracles next Thursday at the Powerade Centre, for South Asian Night. This will mark Brampton's last home game of the regular season before playoffs kick off against the London Lightning. For tickets, contact tickets@bramptonas.ca.
