Atlanta Vision News Release
SUWANEE, GA - January 18, 2007- Atlanta Vision, Atlanta's professional basketball team in Gwinnett have added a new strong "Big Bruiser" to the roster...
Daniel Artest, the brother of Sacramento Kings star forward Ron Artest, looks to help improve the Vision's front court depth. He has been nicknamed "Da Bruiser" by his teammates for his physical play under the basket. "Daniel brings a competitive confidence that is rubbing off on his peers," states Vision owner Quentin Townsend.
"I just want to continue to develop my skills and play basketball," adds Artest. "People often view me as Ron's younger brother, but I am determined to show everyone that I also have skills to play at this level."
"We need Daniel to stay aggressive and continue to bring as much energy as possible to the floor, "states assistant coach Marc Howard.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
