Strong Island and Tennessee added to ABA All-Star teams
January 18, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced two additional players for the ABA All Star Game to be played in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Sunday, January 28th. According to league officials, "The team is shaping up beautifully. While we don't have the huge 7' centers to dominate the middle, the ABA game is speed, defense and shooting skills, and our ABA All Stars have all of that and more."
East All Star: Gregory Plummer, a 6'4" 195 guard/forward from the Strong Island Sound. Greg is averaging 24.3ppg and hits the scorebooks every game with good rebounds, assists, steals, blocked shots and strong defensive play on a defensive minded team. "The Brooklyn native is a tough young player and will be a great addition to the team."
West All Star: Chris Brown, a 6'7" forward from the Tennessee Mud Frogs. Chris played at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and is one of the most consistent players on and off the court. Known as "R & B" because of his smooth moves, he is averaging 25ppg, 10rpg and 5apg and looks destined for the NBA.
